Mechanism of Action

How Uroplug works

An innovative approach that offers interventionary relief for chronic urinary incontinence with minimal invasiveness or discomfort.

STEP 01

Independent Insertion

Patient inserts occlusion device shallowly into urethra using fingers or applicator, with a small string attached for removal.

STEP 02

Dissolution & Expansion

Gelatin capsule dissolves after insertion, leaving the foam head to expand to block urethra and prevent leaks.

Disposal & Reinsertion

Bladder fills as normal; patient removes via string, voids bladder as normal, disposes and replaces with new device.

The Uroplug device is a two-part intraurinary insert: an expanding sterile foam head encased in a dissolving gelatin capsule. The casing dissolves in minutes and the foam head expands to block leaks.

We have secured significant manufacturing contracts with industry giants to deliver at scale upon trial completion and full FDA approval.
